The two pillars

Features

Projects

Our aim is to create and present theatrical and non theatrical projects that are vivid and engaging and resonant with audiences both international and domestic. We focus on creating exciting projects fusing movement and theatrical storytelling with a team of international artists from a variety of disciplines, based here in Tokyo

Creative Learning and Outreach

Workshops form the core of CITA's educational work. Lecture demonstrations, post show talks, and workshops have taken place in over five continents with people of varying interests, abilities and backgrounds, from professionals and students, to people within and without the theatre community. Activities take place throughout the year and include regular both public and private masterclasses.

Resources

CITA has been developing and delivering a programme of high-quality workshops both in Japan and abroard, improving participants’ physical, social and creative confidence, enhancing key performance and devising skills and expanding imaginations. Here we share with you some resources for both teachers and theatremakers introducing you to how we approach creating theatre
